In February of 2020, my wife and I quit our jobs. After two years working at Cisco Meraki, I was ready to step away from my role as a senior software engineer. I worked with amazing people and had the opportunity to launch the new Meraki Go product line. I became a much better engineer due to my immediate team and the growth-mindset culture of the wider engineering organization.
But, I am ready for a change of scenery. I've been building mobile apps since 2012 and am eager to broaden my skillset. I'm unsure if I want to build a startup, join an existing startup, or join a larger engineering team at a fast growth company. In the meantime, I'm going to take the month of March to go on a roadtrip throughout the Southwest U.S.
For now, I'm eager to spend this time reading, writing, and sweating every day.
